Asseti moreover guides those maintenance and repair operation decisions by triaging into high, moderate and low priority. This guidance is based on trillions of aggregated data points contained in the platform, which gives Asseti the capacity to evaluate MRO cost and consequence and recommend which should be undertaken, in what timeframe and order. Years of experience servicing enterprise-scale asset owners taught Asseti that the most significant challenge of enterprise asset owners is the scale of their network, rather than any inherent complexity of the underlying assets. Managing a single telecom tower is not challenging, however large network operators manage hundreds of thousands of those assets with a web of interconnected subcontractors – it is the scale that is challenging, as well as costly.

The Asseti platform enables enterprise clients to digitise and manage scaled asset networks with the simplicity of single asset operations, and easily amplify that understanding throughout the company and into the future.

As users zoom closer or farther from a region, the information panels automatically change to match the context of the map, so the information displayed in the left and right panels is always directly relevant to the visible map. This enables lightening fast snapshot consideration and zoom to highlighted issues, and provides instantaneous asset, site or network condition reporting.

Datasets used by asset managers are usually extensive – a massive numbers of files and datapoints, with large individual file size. It is consequently imperative that the Asseti data import functionality be fast, seamless and easy to use.

Asseti accepts temporally-tagged data of most types, including compressed ZIP files containing many individual files, with a one-click ‘add’ action. Appropriately tagged datasets can be added to Asseti at any level, with the platform managing data spatial positioning, position in a time sequence and the addition of other tag information points. Where data upload is interrupted, Asseti is able to recommence at the data file upload ceased at once a connection is restored.

Datasets uploaded to Asseti have geospatial tags so that users can see their data in the precise location it pertains to. Security is a core tenant of Asseti, as seen in the platform foundation and architecture. Asseti’s use of open source libraries and globally recognised architectural practices were chosen to facilitate ISO/IEC 27001 information security management certification. Asseti is built with information security management, quality, work health and safety and environmental ISO compliance and is in the process of achieving those certifications.

Core to security is a defensible audit trail. Asseti uses a logging and tracing process that sits over every step in the platform. Every process triggered in the platform, from user-initiated to automated system processes, and everything in between, is recorded in enduring and unalterable audit logs.

Asseti provides a legally defensible audit framework to asset management organisations.

Conventional MRO treats individual assets or asset components as distinct entities rather than as a system. Systems and processes that promulgate this sectionalised way of thinking will be challenged to optimise tactical MRO.

Asseti assists the change of mindset to consider tactical MRO within the broader asset network and MRO framework. Asseti’s construction and dashboard interface facilitate an optimised tactical MRO approach.

The intersection of maintenance and repair operations with asset management systems including EAMs is where assets and asset data can be transformed into strategic advantage. Considered through a lens of the Demand Supply Compression (DSC) methodology, this optimal point can be invisible and ignored within conventional asset management frameworks – oftentimes simply because the asset management methods used are not designed to reveal this.
